This blog was created after the May 2016 Mathematics for Social Justice Workshop at Rollins College. The workshop was funded by the Associated Colleges of the South (ACS) and by Fitchburg State University (FSU). Additional support was given by University or Richmond and Rollins College.
Four mentors and 15 members of the ACS/FSU gathered for a weekend to discuss how to continue much good work done at the K-12 levels and work done at other colleges to incorporate social justice into the curriculum, courses, and an institution. In groups, they are working to create materials and guidelines for courses such as Precalculus, Calculus, Statistics, and Liberal Arts Math Courses.
